Our instructors understand that the best way to reach young people is to be present and to be honest.

Yes, offering an educational program is outside the normal duties of a police officer; however, that is why the program yields such dramatic results. Assuming these additional duties communicates a simple, yet powerful message: “I am here because I care, and because you are important to this community."

From SRO’s to FBI Agents, your cadets will discover the vital role law enforcement plays in securing the safety of all our citizens. Through classroom discussions and student activities, cadets develop a deeper appreciation of law enforcement.

“American Police Officer” is a new program in character education from the Junior Police Academy. Taught by SROs or community police officers, the course recognizes that the law enforcement profession is uniquely qualified not only to teach, but inspire good character.
